Meow, Meow, Sultry Sultry

More sketches. Getting a few more sooper type peoples done while I'm in the comic book vein, specifically women type sooper dooper peoples. I've always had a difficult time drawing sexy women (and my wife is my toughest critic when it comes to this matter), so practice is good. And fun. :-)

The first piece is a more successful attempt at a more cartoony style, so I'm happy with that one except for the big feet. Then there's a couple of quick poses with two of the women from Nextwave (funny comic book with art by one of my favorites: Stuart Immonen) and then a few of Catwoman - she's always concidered a sulty, sexy one, so she makes for good subject matter. And bringing up the rear, just to get a little gender variety going on, is Captain Jack, or a rather poor approximation thereof. But I only spent a couple of minutes on him and it was fun, so there you go.

Are you working on anything right now? And if you aren't, what's your page rate for pencils and inks?

Wow, thanks guys! I'll try to keep 'em comin, so please check back. I should have some actually page work and stuff coming at some point - I'm trying to work on some stuff in the few minutes of freetime I manage to squeeze into my days.

Oh, and to answer your question, Mike S, I'm a little too busy lately (which is, of course, a good thing). I'm doing previz art for a movie and co-writing, co-designing, and storyboarding an animation project for the company I work for. I'll also be involved in many more aspects of the production, so these two things alone keep me more than busy. The fact that I can find any time for sketching at all is amazing to me, but I find that it helps to keep my brain warmed up and by drawing other subject matter keeps the work I do on the main things more "fresh". Thank you very much for your interest however.
