Here's a couple more Simon Brizdale pages, coming along slowly but surely. I've got all of these pages lettered already but I'm waiting to get the whole story done to reveal all of that (and colors, which I have yet to start). Oh yeah, and there's a cover sketch there as well; almost forgot...

Another new year!
Still busy but determined to find time for Simon. That being said, here's some various panels of upcoming pages in their penciled form. This is what they look like before I ink them. I draw them with blue col-erase pencils on marker paper, reworking it til it's what I like (sometimes redrawing on several sheets), then lay another sheet on top and ink with Pitt brush pens.
I used to be so against anything but an old fashioned brush and india ink, but boy are the pens convenient. I like the Pitt pens because they actually use india ink, so I don't have to worry about how they will age. I've seen with other pens/brush pens that don't use india ink how they will bleed and turn red or other various things as they age, often leaving stains on any and all things touching them.
If you go to a comic book convention and look around at the original art for sale you will see what I mean, and it's really sad to see some great art destroyed because of inferior quality tools being used. Oh well.
Happy New Year to all. Here's to a great year...
